Our 2019 Survey Shows eConsent Becoming More Mainstream

In 2019, Signant Health conducted a survey of 134 respondents in the life sciences industry to study the perspectives and intentions on the use of electronic informed consent in clinical trials. This article outlines the results and provides interpretation. Highlights include:

• Less than half of respondents had utilized eConsent in any phase of a study
• The majority said that their organizations will adopt eConsent for most studies over the next three years
• Sponsors and CROs are looking for solutions that enable them to design and deploy eConsent solutions without continuous vendor support
